At Jemena, we believe in building a future that’s not only efficient—but empowering. We’re looking for a JEN Customer Initiated Construction (CIC) Subject Matter Expert (SME) who brings both technical expertise and a collaborative spirit to help shape the way we serve our communities.

This is more than a technical role - it’s a chance to lead with purpose, nurture strong partnerships, and make a meaningful impact across our energy network.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Be the trusted technical voice between Jemena and our service delivery partners.
  • Provide thoughtful technical reviews of customer-initiated projects on the JEN network.
  • Lead with clarity in contract and commercial management, ensuring alignment with Jemena’s values and standards.
  • Champion process integrity, reviewing and signing off on key operational decisions.
  • Build genuine relationships with customers and stakeholders to drive efficiency and forward-thinking outcomes.

What You Bring

  • A strong grasp of SAP.
  • Deep understanding of the end-to-end CIC process.
  • Experience in electricity infrastructure projects and the energy market landscape.
  • A collaborative mindset with exceptional communication and influencing skills.
  • A natural ability to solve problems, manage complexity, and navigate layered stakeholder environments.
  • A passion for continuous improvement and a sharp eye for commercial detail.

  • You hold commercial or technical qualifications and bring real-world experience in the utilities sector.
  • You understand the needs and preferences of energy customers; you care about delivering value.
  • You’re familiar with industry standards, construction methodologies and the evolving energy landscape.
