Your new role is an operational position that relies heavily on team work and requires that work be prioritised according to customer need. The customer services team supports library and information services by assisting with the provision of efficient and effective information and
circulation services.

The Customer Services Library Assistant position requires an enthusiastic, customer oriented person who has good communication skills. Current enrolment in an approved course in Library Studies is the minimum qualification for the position. The ability to be an effective member of a team is critical to the success of this role, as is accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines. In your new role you will;

About The Role

circulation services.
The Customer Services Library Assistant position has the following major components:
- Ensure the provision of quality customer services
- Assist in delivering a positive customer experience
- Assist in the maintenance of the collection to ensure it meets community needs
- Provide assistance with the use and troubleshooting of library software and equipment
- Promote library services and programs
- Current enrolment in the Diploma of Library and Information Studies or its equivalent, or a degree course in Library and Information Science, approved by ALIA
- Demonstrated customer service skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Demonstrated ability to provide technology support to customers of all ages.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and problem solve
- NSW Working with Children Check clearance
