The Century Group produce live entertainment, present festivals and are the operator of Sydney’s leading entertainment venues. We are seeking a highly energised and driven professional to work within our marketing team across the live arts, music, business, corporate and community events sectors.
This role is primarily focused on our festivals department, where you will be working on brand marketing campaigns for the Sydney Comedy Festival and Perth Comedy Festival.
The position is full-time, based in Marrickville at our head office.
You will be a lover of all facets of the arts, with a strong focus on comedy. You will be a vibrant self-starter with a personal commitment to service and client satisfaction. You will be responsible for the complete administrative management of each festival’s marketing campaign from curation to settlement.
Underpinning your role will demonstrate excellence in personal organisation, ability to adhere to systems and procedures, workflow management, prioritisation, completion, advance production and operational requirements. You will be a problem solver, lateral thinker, and have the ability to deliver events confidently with the highest level of customer and client service.

Responsibilities
The Festivals Brand & Marketing Coordinator collaborates with the Festival team to plan and deliver the Sydney Comedy Festival’s marketing campaigns. Duties include:
- Maintain brand consistency across all channels and assets,
- Execute brand strategy for the festival to build awareness, drive ticket sales, and position the festival as a leading cultural event.
- Collaborate with creative teams (designers, video editors) to develop engaging content and promotional materials that align with the festival’s voice and identity.
- Oversee social media strategy and work with content teams to drive engagement and audience growth on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
- Drive marketing campaigns across digital, print, radio, and outdoor channels.
- Coordinate with PR and media partners to secure coverage and promotional opportunities.
- Work with talent and programming teams to develop promotional content and support marketing efforts around key announcements and marquee events.
- Manage the festival website and email marketing, ensuring timely updates and compelling storytelling.
- Track and analyse performance metrics to measure campaign effectiveness and inform future marketing strategies.
- Identify partnership opportunities with sponsors, influencers, and local businesses to enhance the festival's reach and impact.
- Plan and execute on-the-ground brand activations during the festival to enhance attendee experience and visibility.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience with social media marketing tools and platforms, such as Meta Business Suite
- Experience with building email & SMS marketing campaigns in platforms, like Mailchimp, Braze, etc
- Skilled in using data and analytics tools, including Google Analytics and Salesforce, to inform strategy and optimise campaign effectiveness.
- Proven experience in brand and marketing management, ideally within the entertainment, live events, or cultural sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, social, print, and out-of-home advertising.
- Strong creative sensibility and storytelling skills, with the ability to shape and maintain a distinctive brand voice.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience briefing and collaborating with creative teams, media partners, and talent.
- Experience developing and managing content strategies across social media, web, and email platforms.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to track and interpret marketing data, extract insights, and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Experience working with or within PR/media teams, including managing press coverage, media partnerships, or influencer engagement.
- Ability to manage and collaborate with external stakeholders, such as suppliers, sponsors, artists, promoters, and festival partners.
- Understanding of the comedy and/or live entertainment landscape and a genuine enthusiasm for comedy, pop culture, and live events
- Experience in on-site brand activations or event marketing is highly desirable.
