Your role at St John of God Berwick Hospital
The Environmental Services Assistant is committed to ensuring hospital areas are cleaned and maintained to agreed standards, thereby contributing to the comfort and safety of all customers.

To succeed you will basic knowledge of and experience with chemical usage, cleaning equipment and OH&S requirements. You will demonstrate communication skills, relate well with other people and demonstrate initiative, motivation & confidence.

The Position
- Cleaning of Patient Rooms in accordance with cleaning checklist, including bed tables, rubbish disposal, hand basins, toilets and bed linen.
- Cleaning of Operating Theatres, recovery rooms and amenities, including cleaning sinks, benchtops, ledges, doors and walls, pendant lights, vents to agreed standards and in accordance with cleaning checklists.
- Maintain and ensure the cleanliness of administration, reception and consulting suites areas.
- Vacuum and mop floors as required.
- Empty all bins throughout the relevant areas and replace with liners.
- Clean staff toilets and restock paper products.
- Replenish supplies, such as toilet paper, sanitary napkin bags.
- Supply clean linen.
- Sign off cleaning schedule on completion of tasks

We will offer you
- Salary $32.11 - $33.42 per hour (casual loading included) plus 11.5% superannuation
