About The Role
As a Transmission & Distribution Design Draftsperson, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality substation and transmission and distribution infrastructure projects. You’ll be responsible for producing and managing detailed substation drawings, cable and conduit layouts, and updating documentation based on field feedback. Coordinating external drafting resources and maintaining drawing management systems will be essential to ensuring timely and accurate project delivery. You’ll also contribute to the development of team capabilities by supporting training initiatives. Key Responsibilities Include
- Producing detailed and accurate substation and transmission drawings, including wiring layouts, protection and control schematics, and civil construction plans.
- Supporting team development and CAD system efficiency, by providing training, troubleshooting, and process improvements.
- Maintaining and updating substation documentation, ensuring accuracy and responsiveness to field personnel requirements.
- Coordinating and auditing external drafting resources, ensuring timely delivery and quality of outsourced work.
- Delivering exceptional customer service, meeting all commitments and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Contributing to safety, quality, and environmental compliance, by following Zinfra’s systems and participating in audits.
- Processing invoices and managing drawing-related documentation, supporting smooth project operations and cost centre performance.
