About The Role

As a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer at Zinfra, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the success of complex infrastructure projects. Reporting to the National Design Lead, you’ll lead the delivery of accurate, timely, and innovative civil and structural design solutions. From tendering and value engineering to constructability reviews and risk management, your expertise will drive project excellence. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless execution and stakeholder alignment. Key Responsibilities Include

  • Driving the development of innovative and cost-effective civil and structural design solutions across multiple bids and projects, ensuring alignment with client and contractual requirements.
  • Collaborating with internal teams, consultants, and contractors, fostering strong relationships to support seamless project delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Leading the preparation of high-quality tender designs and technical documentation, enabling accurate estimating and successful project bids.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of engineering standards and tools, enhancing design quality, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Contributing to the professional growth of project delivery teams, mentoring staff and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • Managing design consultants and ensuring compliance with scope, quality, and delivery expectations across all project phases.
  • Championing health, safety, and environmental best practices, ensuring all engineering activities meet legislative and company standards.
  • Monitoring and contributing to financial performance, including revenue, EBIT, and labour utilisation targets aligned with business strategy.
  • Staying ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, applying innovative solutions to improve Zinfra’s engineering capabilities and project outcomes.

About You

You are a driven and detail-oriented Civil Engineer with a passion for delivering high-quality design solutions. With deep industry knowledge and a strong customer focus, you thrive in collaborative environments, lead with initiative, and bring innovation to every project. Your technical expertise and leadership ensure successful project outcomes.

  • Holding a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with relevant experience in energy networks or infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrating strong knowledge of civil and structural design standards, procurement, tendering systems, and bid processes.
  • Building and maintaining trusted relationships with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Driving execution and delivering results through high work standards and attention to detail.
  • Bringing a customer-first mindset, understanding client drivers and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Embracing innovation and continuous improvement to enhance design quality and project efficiency.
  • Communicating effectively, coaching others, and contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
