We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Production Engineer with a proven track record in metal fabrication manufacturing to work from our Head Office in Kilsyth.

You will need to possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in:

  • New products development and launch in production
  • Production costing, BOM's and routings using ERP/MRP system
  • Design of production tooling, jigs and gauges using SolidWorks CAD
  • Manufacture and verification of production tooling and products OTS's
  • Production processes development and optimisation
  • PPAP documentation, including SOP's and PFMEA's
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
  • Problem solving and root cause analysis

The successful candidate would need to have an extensive knowledge and experience in the metal fabrication, press forming, welding, powder coating and assembly production processes, be proficient user of the SolidWorks CAD, skilled in technical drawings and GD&T's and have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). Experience in the automotive OEM processes and quality systems is beneficial.
