As the Senior Finance Manager, you will provide comprehensive financial support across our mandates, ensuring timely, accurate reporting and compliance. You will be pivotal in delivering high-quality audited financial statements, managing outsource providers, and navigating complex tax and compliance matters. You’ll collaborate closely with senior leaders and the broader Funds Management team to drive financial excellence. This role is a 12 month max term contract.

Your Day To Day Will Look Something Like This

  • Deliver timely and accurate financial and tax reporting including monthly and quarterly fund reporting
  • Manage external providers responsible for trust administration and oversee the preparation of audited financial statements in compliance with IFRS/AASB standards
  • Ensure smooth month-end processes and review balance sheet reconciliations
  • Lead resolution of accounting and tax issues in coordination with internal and external teams
  • Provide policy and governance recommendations, monitor statutory compliance risks, and prepare compliance certificates
  • Support the preparation of materials and participation in the Management Accounts Committee
  • Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

What You Bring

  • A Commerce or Business degree majoring in accounting
  • CA or CPA professional qualification is desirable but not essential
  • Proven leadership and people management experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS/AASB, financial regulations, and accounting/reporting systems
  • Experience preparing statutory reports and tax returns for trusts and companies
  • Background in property and funds management is highly advantageous
  • Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders across the organisation
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and team development skills
  • Ability to think laterally and adapt quickly to challenges
