About The Company

Our client is an independent statutory agency that is responsible for implementing the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which will support a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers. About The Role

Your main duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Analysing participant records using a range of policies, practice guidance and legislation to make funding decisions in relation to participant plans to help reduce overspending
  • Working with participants and their representatives via telephone communication, to identify current circumstances and spending patterns
  • High quality record keeping, including competency with IT systems, adhering to process guidelines and standard operating procedures
  • Research and review decisions and manage moderately complex cases with the assistance of staff at higher classification level
  • Completing administrative and data entry tasks relating to participants
  • Contributing to the achievement of key performance indicators, including planning targets

Skills And Experience Required

  • Employment experience in a similar Planner, Support Coordinator, Local Area Coordinator, Disability Employment Consultant, or similar required.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments with strict deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Passionate about working within the disability sector and positively improving the lives of individuals and their families.
  • As part of the eligibility and suitability requirement, only Australian Citizens need to apply
  • Willingness to undertake pre-employment checks, including National Criminal History Check upon successful appointment
