Talent International is currently recruiting for a Recruitment Officer to work for the NSW Government based in Darlington (Hybrid). This position is a contract role for 6 months initially with the view to be extended and is paying an hourly rate of $70.63/hour + Super.

7 hours a day / 35 hours per week

Primary Function

The Recruitment Officer coordinates the recruitment process, ensuring clarity in role requirements and adherence to established procedures. They collaborate with Hiring Managers to develop and implement tailored recruitment strategies and engage actively with candidates. They maintain organised recruitment documentation and continually seek ways to enhance the recruitment process.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the recruitment process from role identification to onboarding, ensuring understanding of specific role requirements and adherence to processes.
  • Consult with Hiring Managers to devise effective recruitment strategies, ensuring alignment with the client’s goals.
  • Proactively manage candidates, ensuring clear communication and building talent pools of evaluated individuals.
  • Maintain recruitment documentation and achieve individual recruitment KPIs while promoting best practices.
  • Collaborate within the HR team, upholding the client’s values and fostering a culture of operational excellence.
  • Take the lead in handling stakeholder communications, ensuring that concerns are addressed effectively and timely while fostering a culture of trust and collaboration within the work area and beyond.
  • Facilitate timely report submission, uphold data integrity according to the client’s systems, and partner with managers to advance compliance initiatives.
  • Coordinate purchasing processes and resolve any discrepancies in payment schedules.
  • Champion a proactive approach to health and safety, review and provide feedback on work area protocols, and collaborate cross functionally to ensure consistent safety standards across tasks and projects.
  • Perform work activities relevant to the role’s key accountabilities as approved by the Manager and commensurate to the role’s classification level.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree – In a relevant field

Additional Information

Other – An equivalent combination of relevant training and experience

  • Want someone with a minimum of 3 years of recruitment end-to-end experience in a large organisation. Not really from agency recruitment, more from internal recruitment.
  • If you have worked at a university would be a bonus
  • 5 people in this recruitment team- sitting in the team that supports the Faculty of Science and Engineering and focusing a lot of Academic recruitment (so recruiting for university Lecturers, professors, research academics etc)
  • Come to the office in Darlington once a week on a Wednesday and then every 3rd Thursday as well. (so the week they come in every 3rd Thursday will be required to attend the office twice that week)
  • No specific system skills required for the role but if they have used Workday would be a huge bonus
  • Must be self-motivated as this role is highly self-managed
  • Will be working on around 30 different roles at any given time so if they have experience working in large organisations in internal recruitment would be ideal
