The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Training & Simulation Engineering Manager to support a world class airborne surveillance, communications and battle management system, the E-7A Wedgetail.

The role can be based in Brisbane, Williamtown, or Adelaide.

Responsibilities:

  • We are currently seeking a talented leader, motivated to take on the responsibility for the delivery of technical products & services, as well as personnel management and leadership within the Ground Systems Training domain.
  • Execution experience and talent to take on the development, delivery, and sustainment of the E-7 program will be highly regarded. But more important to us is who you are and how you care for the people you work with. You will bring openness, transparency, effective communication and relationship building strengths to support the E-7 portfolio.
  • You will seek and drive continuous improvement, develop and execute project and process plans, and develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Demonstrated technical leadership qualities, and ability to lead cross-functional teams of technical personnel delivering engineering solutions to our customers.
  • Domain knowledge and technical engineering experience associated with Simulation & Training Devices is highly desired.
  • High level communication and negotiation skills with a strong focus on building successful relationships with a broad range of both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Formal Project Management, Agile, Engineering, Business or Management qualifications.
  • Experience in the estimating, planning, managing and reporting progress of technical work scope.
  • Drive and passion to grow capability, mentor and coach teammates.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen and hold, or have ability to obtain, an Australian Defence security clearance.
