Under the supervision of Orthopaedic Specialists, you’ll have an exciting opportunity to work with first-class facilities and a collaborative, professional team in providing care for elective and trauma Orthopaedic patients, both as inpatients and as day surgery patients.
As NSW’s largest and most comprehensive private hospital, the San gives you all the opportunities you’d find in a large public tertiary facility, in a nurturing, warm environment.
In This Role You Will
- work alongside Orthopaedic Specialists
- provide regular surgical assistance in operating theatres for designated surgeons and at other times at the request of other members of the Orthopaedic department (with approval of the Orthopaedic Clinical Coordinator).
- contribute to a culture of clinical excellence and continuous quality improvement, providing outstanding patient outcomes
- actively play a positive role in the culture of comradery and teamwork
- You'll have MBBS or equivalent – applicants must have minimum of at least 3 years postgraduate experience.
- You'll have current AHPRA registration and have unrestricted eligibility to work in Australia.
- You'll have demonstrated competency in clinical skills to independently preform following procedures: day to day management if post-op patients, venepuncture, ABG collection, IDC insertion and management of post-operative urinary retention.
- You'll have the proven ability and confidence to interpreting results of following investigations: EUC, FBC, coagulation results and X-ray of hip, knee, ankle, shoulder and chest.
- You'll demonstrate excellent communication skills – both written and verbal skills.
- You'll have exceptional interpersonal skills by considerately and professionally communicate with patients, their families, visitors, and your colleagues.
- You’ll be systematic, able to prioritise tasks but also have initiative and critical problem-solving capability.
- You’ll be adaptable, willing to learn, and work in a team-orientated, fast-paced environment.
- You'll have the willingness to take relevant ongoing professional development.
