The Company

We are currently working with a well-established, ASX-listed organisation with a strong national footprint and a reputation for financial strength, internal progression, and a high-performing finance function. This newly created opportunity has come about due to growth and offers exposure to both financial and management accounting, board reporting, and tax.

If you’re an ambitious Accountant looking to broaden your skill set in a dynamic and supportive environment, this could be your next long-term move.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with both the FP&A and transactional teams, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records and reports
  • Posting journals and managing general ledger reconciliations
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls
  • Assisting with the month-end close process
  • Supporting the FP&A Partner with month-end reporting
  • Assisting with variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Preparing monthly reports for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Assisting with the preparation of board reporting packs and ad hoc analysis
  • Preparing tax filings (GST, FBT, Payroll Tax, PTR) across multiple entities
  • Maintaining and improving accounting procedures and controls
  • Staying up to date with changes in accounting standards and tax legislation
  • Providing coverage for key roles within the team as required

About You

You will be a CA/CPA-qualified (or close to) Accountant with 2–5 years’ experience in a commercial or chartered environment. You’re technically strong but commercially curious — comfortable getting into the detail but also thinking big picture when needed. Experience in an ASX environment or working with listed clients (e.g. through audit) will be highly regarded.

You Will Also Bring

  • A solid grounding in accounting standards and tax compliance
  • Strong Excel skills and a proactive, improvement-focused mindset
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude
  • The ability to manage competing deadlines and remain flexible in a fast-paced setting
