We strategically consolidate databases to maximize cost efficiency and management across our portfolio. You'll be responsible for everything from infrastructure migrations to AI-driven automation, performance tuning, database migration, and cost optimization. Your role includes diagnosing issues, executing seamless cloud migrations with minimal downtime, and automating significant portions of your tasks using AI/ML workflows. You'll have the autonomy to make infrastructure decisions without waiting for approvals from those unfamiliar with the technical intricacies.

What You Will Be Doing
- Orchestrating complex infrastructure transformations, including migrations from legacy setups to AWS cloud infrastructure and lift-and-shift transitions
- Crafting and deploying comprehensive monitoring strategies and developing automations for monitoring, software deployments, and operational workflows
- Overseeing system monitoring, executing system backups, managing incident responses, performing database migrations and configurations, and optimizing costs
- Being bogged down by Jira and endless status meetings - we appreciate individuals who deliver solutions, not just manage problems
- Perpetually maintaining outdated systems - you'll be empowered to implement meaningful enhancements
- Being hindered by bureaucratic approval processes - you'll have the power to make immediate fixes to resolve issues
- Being confined to narrow technical specializations - this role demands both broad and deep expertise
- Struggling for budget to enact essential improvements - we recognize the significance of infrastructure investment
- Enhance the reliability and standardization of cloud infrastructure across our expanding product portfolio by implementing robust monitoring, automation, and AWS best practices.
- Extensive AWS infrastructure expertise (as this is our primary platform - experience with other clouds is insufficient)
- Proficient programming skills in Python or JavaScript for developing automation and tools
- Experience in managing and migrating production databases across various engines (including MySql, Postgres, Oracle, MS-SQL)
- Advanced proficiency in Docker/Kubernetes
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
- Expertise in Linux systems administration
