We have won some really interesting work and are looking to complement our amazing delivery team with a contractor or freelancer based in Australia (Melbourne preferred). The work is focused on service design and business analysis in the legal regulatory management landscape. This is a 3-4 month commitment, kicking off in the next few weeks.

A Business Analyst who can lead stakeholder engagements to uncover, analyse and clearly communicate business processes and requirements. You're not just someone who captures information; you ask the right questions to truly understand the why behind processes, whether driven by regulations, policies, or legacy systems. You have a talent for translating complex information into simple, actionable insights that help teams make informed decisions. You bring a relaxed, collaborative approach that puts stakeholders at ease in workshops and interviews. You are also open to both giving and receiving feedback, and fit right into Portable's feedback and growth orientated culture.

You'll be expected to have knowledge and experience in these areas:
- Solid experience as a Business Analyst, ideally at a senior level
- Experience planning and facilitating effective stakeholder workshops and interviews to uncover and understand business processes
- Strong skills in process mapping using tools like Visio (preferred)
- Familiarity with BPMN notation for process mapping
- Ability to analyse business processes to identify gaps, duplications, and overlaps
- Strong understanding of MS Dynamics 365 and the wider Microsoft ecosystem
- Comfortable capturing and articulating business requirements and linking them directly to processes and actions
- Understanding of regulatory and policy contexts is highly regarded
- Experience working in government or legal sectors is highly regarded
- Background in technical domains is useful but not essential.
