The Role

Are you a Project Officer professional looking for a step into the Government Sector? Join this large State Government Department that is focused on providing to the once in a generation reform of the Department.


Responsibilities

  • Ability to work under general direction and exercise initiative and judgement in relation to project support activities.
  • Experience in a project support role including developing project management and financial documents and reports using Microsoft Project, Excel and MS365 or similar collaboration tools.
  • Demonstrated skills in project administration and coordination for the scheduling and coordination of meetings, capturing and maintaining meeting minutes, action and decision registers and timely follow-ups.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think laterally and conceptually to assist in project management activities and risk mitigation.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, verbally, in writing and by means of presentations, including the ability to produce reports of a high quality.
  • Ability to establish and manage registers, databases and/or spreadsheets using Excel, SharePoint or tools such as DevOps and JIRA.
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills.
  • Possess a high level of personal integrity and credibility and maintain confidentiality.
  • Sound knowledge of project management, administrative, financial, procurement and/or human resource management practices relevant to a government environment.
