The Red Hat Global Learning Service (GLS) in Australia is looking for a passionate and experienced Learning & Development Instructor to join us. In this role, you will serve as a technical account manager for a dedicated set of training partners, assisting them as they grow their business which includes delivering quality training services and administration of worldwide certification to enterprise customers, partners and technical architects and engineers. You will also work with the Global teams to identify gaps, design, test and develop solutions, strategies for upskilling and delivering and compliance-related education courses.

What You Will Do
- Prepares technical plans and strategies from engineering documentation, field service requirements or software documentation.
- Works with engineering, technical support and manufacturing to ensure that technical materials reflect current product features.
- Serve as a technical account manager for a dedicated set of training partners, provide technical guidance so they can train instructors and assist them as they grow their business and for successful implementation
- Plan and justify investments in Red Hat training technologies (e.g., Red Hat Security and Selinux , Red Hat Virtualization, Openstack, Satellite and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS)
- Build, develop, customize technical training courses tailored to various teams and stakeholders (e.g., developers, partners, sales and services end-users).
- Work with the Global Training and Certification teams to identify gaps, design, test and develop solutions and deliver these courses.
- Assist the Services Sales team in additional sales initiatives to grow the training business by implementing and delivering customized higher end technology workshops showcasing various Red Hat Technologies
- Participate in internal projects and pilots as needed to ensure that offerings are effective prior to wide-scale general availability
- Plan and execute pre-sales activities with local Training Sales team
- Facilitate Red Hat Training classes and certification exams
- Responsible for customizing the products as per client’s requirements and conducting technical seminars and workshops on emerging Red Hat Technologies like Red Hat Security and Selinux , Red Hat Virtualization,Openstack, Satellite and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) for IT professionals within the APAC region.
- Guide discussions with customers to scope training needs.
- Interacting with customers Management team in a calm and professional manner to explain and make them understand the benefits of Red Hat Technologies in case a comparison with competition product is needed
- 8+ years of industry experience of which 5+ are in instruction
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or ability to pursue certification within 30 days of being hired, additional Certifications a plus
- Knowledge of and experience with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and container technologies like Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker
- Knowledge of application architecture (application servers, integration patterns, microservices, JEE, CI/CD, build management, etc.)
- Knowledge of Automation technologies like Ansible, Puppet, Chef,…
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCA) certification
- Knowledge of and experience with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Automation, etc.
- Solid background in Linux or UNIX system administration and deployment
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels throughout the organization
- Exceptional course facilitation and management skills
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
- Team-oriented with initiative, positive attitude, and enthusiasm
- Demonstrated ability to work both on your own and as a member of a collaborative team
- Higher Levels of Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) Certification with specialisation especially on Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform
- Experience with application development or application modernization
