About The Role

Balfour Beatty T&D are searching for a Project Assistant to join their team in Newcastle.

Role purpose

Support the Team Coordinator and Senior Operational Leadership in the implementation and continual review of all project support/administrative processes required to safely deliver our works whilst maintaining compliance to company procedures and policies across the UK Power T&D Business

Support the Team Coordinator to and train/coach site-based project administrators / engineers in relation to administrative processes.

What you'll be doing

Accountabilities

  • Provide an expert and efficient administrative service to Head of Operations for all projects aligned to their portfolios
  • Adhere to and promote agreed administrative processes and procedures, continually reviewing in order to remain lean and efficient in day-to-day operations.
  • Delivery of all administrative activity including, but not limited to: site mobilisation and demobilisation; procurement; payroll; resourcing; facilities management; communications; travel/accommodation; events organisation and; any other activity advised by line management
  • Support the team coordinator in the continual review and subsequent implementation of best practice processes across all administration activity outlined above
  • Support operational leadership/team coordinator with business wide communications/engagement activity
  • Deputise for the Team Coordinator if necessary/appropriate

Who we're looking for

  • Energetic, positive person with a wish to solve problems and comply with procedures.
  • Proven record of delivering a reliable administrative service with a fast-paced environment.
  • High levels of IT Literacy with deep knowledge of Balfour Beatty systems
  • Full driving licence

A formal qualification in Business Administration or related discipline (desirable)
