Being a trainer is an important and rewarding career, and we’re keen to speak to individuals with an ESI background (particularly distribution line workers, cable jointers or substation technicians), ABN and insurances, who have an interest in delivering training in the electricity supply industry As our ESI Trainer, you’ll be a vital part of the team who are changing the way we deliver high-quality accredited and non-accredited training based in Sydney, but with the opportunity to travel across Australia. Successful candidates will be engaged as either a casual employee or sub contractor to support the training delivery team Your role will include:
  • Delivering a range of ESI technical training for our ASQA-accredited Registered Training Organisation (enterprise, industry, mandatory, refresher)
  • Carrying out training and assessment of students (including blended/face-to-face and e-learning delivery) according to the client’s specifications and on their site
  • Delivering national units of competency particularly the refresher units from the UET training package
  • Ensuring training and assessment are conducted in line with relevant RTO/client/industry and regulatory requirements
What are we looking for from you? You’ll have a genuine passion for re-imagining problems and continuous learning to help shape the future. We look for people who have had a broad range of experiences throughout their career and can demonstrate how they have worked as part of a team to bring ideas to life As well as Australian qualifications and experience as a distribution line worker, cable jointer or substation technician, we are looking for someone with the passion for passing on their knowledge and skills Specifically:
  • Your knowledge and skills as an experienced ESI worker
  • Evidence of an active enrolment in (or already holding) a vocational training qualification (TAE40122 Cert IV TAE or equivalent), and all other relevant licences and documentation (e.g. police check, working with children, high risk and driver’s licences)
  • Your experience having managed or been a supervisor of a team
  • A genuine commitment to professional development
