About the Role
As the Digital Experience Manager you will be responsible for driving online revenue growth through the strategic management of G’day Groups suite of digital platforms, including Discovery Parks & G’day Parks website and G’day Parks mobile app. You will serve as the custodian of these digital assets, ensuring optimal user experience, high performance, and continuous improvement.
A core focus of the position is leading the Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) program to enhance site performance, as well as overseeing content strategy and execution to support brand, product, and commercial objectives.
Key responsibilities of the role will include -
Digital Platform Ownership (Web & App)
- Custodian of G’day Groups digital platforms — the Discovery Parks and G’day Parks websites, and the G’day Parks app — ensuring they’re intuitive, stable, and reflect our brand values.
- Manage relationships with platform vendors, developers, and IT to ensure continuous improvement, performance stability, and feature innovation.
- Own the technical health of platforms: proactively monitor uptime, page speed, responsiveness, and user journeys to deliver a seamless digital experience.
- Align digital platforms with overarching commercial, marketing, and brand strategies, delivering on both guest needs and business goals.
Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO)
- Drive a structured CRO roadmap, running A/B and multivariate tests to uncover opportunities that increase bookings, reduce drop-off, and enhance engagement.
- Use tools like heatmaps, session replays, and user journey analytics to uncover friction points and influence design and UX changes.
- Work closely with UX, UI, and product teams to design and test new components, layouts, and flows based on behavioural data and customer feedback.
Content & Merchandising Oversight
- Oversee content strategy and execution for web and app – including homepage banners, campaign landing pages, park listings, and promotional modules.
- Ensure all content is mobile-optimised, on-brand, and structured for search visibility (SEO) and user intent.
- Collaborate with internal teams (brand, campaign, commercial) to support promotional activities, seasonal launches, and key product messages.
- Manage and maintain a digital content calendar across both brands, balancing business needs with user-first experiences.
Analytics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Track and report on ecommerce performance metrics (e.g., bookings, revenue, conversion rate, AOV, bounce rate, app downloads).
- Extract and communicate actionable insights using tools like Google Analytics, GA4, Hotjar, and app analytics platforms.
- Use insights to build compelling business cases for investment, experimentation, and innovation across web and app.
- Regularly present performance updates and optimisation outcomes to key stakeholders.
Collaboration & Project Leadership
- Act as the digital bridge across teams – collaborating with Marketing, IT, Operations, Commercial, CRM, and Customer Experience to deliver cohesive digital projects.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of ecommerce and app-related projects, ensuring scope, timing, and KPIs are met.
Skills & Experience
To excel in the role, you will have hands-on experience in ecommerce or digital marketing, ideally from within a consumer-focused or retail environment. You will have proven skills in managing ecommerce platforms. for example, Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, combined with strong knowledge of CRO methodologies, tools and A/B testing frameworks.
Whilst technical proficiency is important to the role, you will also need to demonstrate exceptional leadership and digital innovation skills. You will possess the attitude, soft skills, and capability to engage with a broad range of business stakeholders. Your high level of energy, self-motivation, autonomy, initiative, and attention to detail will be crucial in meeting the business demands at G’day Group. Your naturally upbeat and open style will align with our cultural values, and your ability to lead and inspire others will drive our digital transformation efforts.
