The Role
Are you a Project Manager professional looking for a step into the Government Sector? Join this large State Government Department that is focused on providing to the once in a generation reform of the Department.
Responsibilities
- Proactively manage the financial, human and physical resources to successfully deliver projects with high standards of professionalism and ethics.
- Plan, manage and deliver the project activities and resources to achieve the required outcome within the project timeframes and budget.
- Liaise closely with all project stakeholders including Project Executives, Project Board Members, Senior Users, Senior Suppliers as well as Senior Management, the PMO Director and the Delivery Manager.
- Identify, assess and manage risks, issues, dependencies, priorities, progress to milestones and budget, conflicts and provide regular and accurate reporting to stakeholders.
- Responsible and accountable for managing the project using a collaborative approach with impacted internal and external stakeholders, ensuring appropriate communication and organisation change management is in place.
- Produce project management artefacts to ensure that the overall delivery approach is clearly described, appropriate and in accordance with TMR and government standards
- Conduct project assessments and develop action plans to address issues.
- Ensure appropriate project governance and assurance activities are in place for the project including Project Boards updates to the Technology & Systems (T+S) Board and gating requirements.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and registers.
