Why This Role Matters
You’ll be the driving force behind our on-site safety practices, working closely with construction teams, contractors, and leadership to ensure every site is safe, compliant, and aligned with our high standards. What You’ll Be Doing
- Travel across SE QLD in your company vehicle to conduct site inspections and audits.
- Identify hazards and provide practical, risk-based safety advice.
- Support contractor onboarding and compliance through our contractor management system.
- Lead incident investigations and ensure timely reporting.
- Deliver HSE training, fostering awareness and engagement in achieving safety objectives.
- Assist with emergency preparedness.
- Provide accurate reports and data to assist with safety objectives and targets.
- Assist with preparation and presentation of safety meetings.
- Help implement and maintain our HSE Management Plan across all business areas.
- Collaborate with the National HSE Manager and wider teams to drive continuous improvement.
- Certificate IV in OHS (or higher) preferred.
- ICAM trained or equivalent
- Proven experience in a HSE role – ideally in residential construction or a similar field.
- Strong communication and influencing skills – especially with site-based teams.
- Confidence using safety software and Microsoft Office tools – especially Excel & Powerpoint
- A proactive mindset and a genuine passion for creating safer workplaces.
