About The Role
A fantastic opportunity exists for a strategic Human Resources leader to join BOQ Group as our Head of People – Business Bank.
Leading the people strategy for our Business Bank division, you will work closely with our Group Executive and leadership team to drive future state goals.
As our Head of People – Business Bank, you’ll play a pivotal role in a division that is not only critical to our organisation but currently undergoing significant growth and transformation. Business Bank is at the heart of BOQ Group’s strategic direction, and we’re seeking someone who truly understands the pace, complexity, and importance of this journey. This is an opportunity to partner closely with senior leaders, influence change, and help shape the future of this dynamic business – all while bringing your expertise to a collaborative, forward-thinking People and Culture team.
You will be accountable for aligning the division's business strategy with people strategies to ensure the successful execution of these transformation initiatives and will be responsible for key people metrics. You'll drive a People and Culture transformation roadmap within the Business Bank space, ensuring effective outcomes of change management initiatives, and lead communication and stakeholder engagement throughout the change process.
Your talent management responsibilities will include developing and executing a Strategic Workforce Plan, enhancing the Division's EVP to optimize talent supply, and implementing strategies for talent acquisition, development, and retention.
As a key member of the extended People and Culture leadership team, you will be responsible for working with this leadership team to help shape the overall People and Culture strategy, providing input, feedback and future requirements from the business.
This role is unique as it involves leading HR for a division with high complexity and significant strategic impact on the bank's performance.
About You
You are a trailblazer with a track record of strategic HR leadership, and essential to the success of the role will be your proven experience within senior business partnering, either in a Business Banking or Retail Banking environment.
You’re a commercial and people-focused leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments. With a deep understanding of how to partner with group level executive teams to shape and deliver impactful people strategies, you’ve ideally led change and transformation initiatives, developed talent pipelines, and can influence with confidence and clarity.
Your communication style is engaging and authentic, and you know how to build trust across all levels of the business.
You thrive in highly entrepreneurial environments where the breadth of your experience enables you to impact across a variety of complex challenges.
As our Head of People – Business Bank, you’re not just a strategic thinker—you’re also hands-on when it comes to solving problems and driving outcomes. Adaptable, resilient, and accountable for people metrics, you’re ready to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Business Bank.
