About the opportunity
Join the team delivering one of Australia's most significant infrastructure projects - Inland Rail. We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Property Advisor to provide property-related support to the Senior Acquisition Manager, Acquisition Manager, and Property Acquisition Manager in the successful planning and delivery of land acquisition outcomes across Inland Rail projects in New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of land acquisition cases including documentation, valuations, and stakeholder correspondence.
- Support engagement activities with internal stakeholders and relevant state agencies.
- Maintain accurate property records and assist in compliance with governance, procurement, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the preparation of acquisition strategy materials, maps, schedules, and tracking tools.
- Provide support in evaluating property risks, opportunities, and required mitigation actions.
- Undertake preliminary research, due diligence, and data collection for property-related negotiations.
- Support property and project team members in the drafting and execution of agreements, compensation notices, and other legal documents.
About You
To be successful in this role you will need to have a good eye for detail, agile, organised and be a stickler for following process while having the ability to work to deadlines.
- Experience in property, planning, legal, surveying, or a related field.
- A proactive, solutions focused mindset with attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to process a high volume of work in a structured and organised manner.
- Competence in Microsoft Office and ability to work with spatial and property databases.
Desirable Selection Criteria
- Experience supporting land acquisition for infrastructure or linear projects.
- Knowledge of compulsory acquisition processes and relevant legislation.
- Familiarity with project management or property management software systems.
