Head of Marketing - Convenience | Sydney CBD

The Opportunity:
We're looking for a performance-led Head of Marketing | Convenience to drive strategy across Zap Fitness, Jetts New Zealand, and Barry's. With a strong digital background and hands-on experience in Google, Meta, and analytics tools, you'll lead a team of three Marketing Managers and work closely with stakeholders and agency partners across multiple markets.
This role requires someone who's highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable switching between brands. You'll need to balance strategic leadership with a hands-on approach-jumping in to support your team and get things done when needed.
This is a 12-month secondment opportunity.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of brand positioning, communications, and visual identity across Zap Fitness, Jetts NZ, and Barry's.
- Build and implement strategic marketing plans to drive awareness, acquisition, and brand growth.
- Oversee performance marketing strategies across digital channels, with a strong focus on data, analytics, and ROI.
- Manage marketing budgets, including forecasting, CPA optimisation, and weekly performance reporting.
- Lead and mentor a team of three Marketing Managers, providing clear direction, feedback, and support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external media agencies to align marketing with business goals.
- Identify and leverage new digital marketing opportunities, trends, and technologies.
- Use data-driven insights to optimise campaigns and improve customer acquisition and retention.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and high performance within the team.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- 10+ years' experience in related positions across B2C marketing across a portfolio of brands
- Proven success in a senior marketing role with a strong focus on digital and performance marketing.
- Deep understanding of digital channels including SEO, SEM, social media, and content marketing.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data and insights to drive decision-making.
- Proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics and Meta Business Suite.
- Demonstrated leadership capability with experience managing and mentoring teams.
- Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and working with external agencies and media partners.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
