Position Overview
As a Senior Critical Incident Clinician, you will play a vital role in delivering immediate psychological support and interventions to individuals and organizations affected by traumatic events. This includes workplace incidents, accidents, natural disasters, violence, or sudden loss. You will provide onsite and virtual crisis response, psychological first aid, and facilitate group and individual group psycholoigical education to support emotional stabilization, recovery, and return to functioning.
Key Responsibilities
Provide onsite and virtual critical incident response (CIR) services across various sectors following traumatic or high-impact events.
Deliver individual and group psychological first aid, defusings, and debriefings using trauma-informed and evidence-based approaches.
Conduct clinical risk assessments and escalate concerns as needed in accordance with TELUS Health protocols.
Work collaboratively with internal teams, employers, and EAP stakeholders to coordinate service delivery.
Offer brief counselling and psychoeducation to employees impacted by workplace incidents.
Prepare clear and professional clinical documentation and post-incident reports.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in trauma response, workplace mental health, and crisis intervention.
Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development activities.
