About The Role

We are currently seeking a highly capable and motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced mechanical engineer who is ready to take ownership of project deliverables, coordinate small internal project teams, and act as a key technical contact within multi-disciplinary projects.

Position Summary

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical engineering design and documentation across a range of industrial and infrastructure projects. The role includes responsibility for project deliverables, client coordination, and internal discipline team coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical design and documentation work for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate the day-to-day activities of supporting team members such as engineers and drafters.
  • Ensure technical quality and compliance with relevant standards and client requirements.
  • Act as the main technical contact for mechanical scope across assigned projects.
  • Attend and contribute to client and contractor meetings, including design coordination.
  • Prepare technical documentation including specifications, calculations, and reports.
  • Support estimating, proposal development, and scope clarification during bid stages.
  • Conduct site inspections and provide field engineering input as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering templates and workflows.

Required

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in a similar role within Australia.
  • Strong technical design and analysis experience.
  • Clear and confident communicator — both written and verbal.
  • Able to coordinate multiple deliverables and interface with various disciplines.
  • Familiar with project budgets, schedules, and reporting expectations.
  • Full Australian working rights and valid driver's licence.

Desirable

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, or other 3D CAD platforms.
  • Exposure to site-based or construction-related engineering.
  • Client-facing experience and technical proposal input.
  • Progress toward Chartered status or EA registration.
