Securities and Payments is responsible for ASX’s cash equities clearing and settlement businesses; ASX’s settlement and depository business for the wholesale debt market; ASX Collateral, payments, and financial settlement management (FSM/Symplicloud-based
issuer and post-trade investor services; and overall executive responsibility for the delivery of CHESS replacement.
The Data and Reporting team is responsible for the development and delivery of analytics products that will drive the business
outcomes and reduce risk for the division.

Your Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Communication: facilitate effective communication and collaboration among key stakeholders, ensuring that project objectives are clearly defined and understood.
- Data Expertise: Collaborate with data and technology teams to ensure that enterprise data models and design align to business needs and best practice standards.
- Data Analytics: Demonstrated ability to drive business transformation initiatives focused on enhancing BI and analytics capabilities, including development of data modelling and implementation of reporting solutions to improve business outcomes and project objectives.
- Reporting and knowledge Management: Generate and maintain reports and dashboards and establish high quDocality knowledge management for each report developed.
- Data Governance: Apply a risk mindset and group data governance standards to establish and implement data quality controls against data inputs dashboards.
- Problem Solving: Clear understanding and articulation of the business problem, develop an analytical plan to solve the business problem, help identify and resolve issues and challenges that may arise during the project. Analyse data and present actionable insights and develop creative solutions to ensure project success.
- Tools: Access data within GCP, AWS and MS office using analytics tools, such as Power BI, Athena, etc to create internal reporting and generate business insights.
- Process Improvement: Ability to independently assess existing business processes related to reporting and analytics, identify inefficiencies, and provide actional recommendations enhance accuracy, timeliness, and accessibility of insights for decision-making.
- Training and Support: provide training and support to project teams in how to use the dashboards for their business needs and demonstrate how the outputs align to their business requirements
Your experience and qualifications
- 3+ years of data analytics experience, building and developing dashboards.
- 3+ years of AWS or other cloud based data platforms, using either coding to analyse or creation of data.
- 3+ years of analytical coding experience (e.g. SQL, python, R, SAS etc.)
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills either through academic qualifications or work experience
- Experience in data governance frameworks
- Financial markets or exchange data knowledge
- Data science or modelling experience
