Lawyer - Brand & Customer Experience

We're seeking a talented Lawyer to join our team, providing expert counsel across customer touchpoints - primarily IP, Brand, Privacy and SPAM.

This full-time position will focus on Endeavour Group's Intellectual Property and Brand related advice and agreements, including managing Endeavour’s extensive trade mark portfolio, brand licence agreements, domain name and business name management, sponsorship agreements, charitable fundraising agreements and influencer agreements.

You’ll have the opportunity to contribute support across other brand & customer experience areas including marketing, trade contracts, loyalty and digital initiatives.

You will play a pivotal role in managing Endeavour Group’s Intellectual Property and Brand related agreements, including managing Endeavour’s extensive trade mark portfolio, brand licence agreements, domain name and business name management, sponsorship agreements, charitable fundraising agreements and influencer agreements. Additionally, you will provide essential legal guidance on SPAM, DNCR and Privacy obligations. Endeavour Group offers a wide scope of legal experience.

This role provides legal support across Endeavour Group’s diverse portfolio, encompassing iconic brands such as Dan Murphy’s, BWS, ALH Hotels, Pinnacle Drinks, EndeavourX, and our wineries, as well as various corporate functions. What do we need from you

Now Let’s Talk About You

To effectively contribute to our dynamic, customer-focused environment and expand your legal expertise, you should ideally have the following skills and experience:

  • Law degree, current legal practicing certificate, and around 3-5 years of post-admission legal experience.
  • Experience or a strong willingness to develop expertise in IP, brand, competition & consumer law, digital, data and privacy.
  • Expertise in independently drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
  • Ability to apply a commercial and practical approach to achieve business objectives.
  • In-house legal experience within a large, complex organisation, preferably in the retail sector (highly regarded).
  • Demonstrated experience at a top-tier law firm (highly regarded).
  • Strong technical legal capability.
  • Agile work style with excellent prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, while effectively utilising support from other lawyers and the General Counsel.
  • Clear and concise communication skills.
  • Holistic and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Ability to make pragmatic, risk-based judgments.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships and collaborate effectively as a team player.
