Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for operational excellence and stakeholder engagement? The ACE Training Centre is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and drive the successful coordination of aviation training programs that support Toll, NSW Ambulance, and third-party client requirements.

About The Role

As the Operations Manager, you will lead and manage the daily training operations of The ACE Training Centre. Working closely with the ACE-TC General Manager, NSW Ambulance, Toll Ambulance Rescue Operations, Aviation Clients and key stakeholders, you will ensure efficient and effective scheduling, resource management, and training delivery.

You will play a key role in maintaining strong working relationships with clients, coordinating operational output, and driving a collaborative safety culture within the training environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure training schedules are met through effective planning, resource management, and coordination.
  • Lead a team including the Training Administration Officer and Operations Officer to support seamless training delivery.
  • Manage scheduling systems, training record databases (Air Maestro), and assist with Learning Management System (LMS) functionality.
  • Coordinate and communicate daily and weekly operational schedules to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Anticipate and resolve resourcing conflicts in a fast-paced, dynamic training environment.
  • Represent ACE-TC in operational meetings and briefings, and chair regular coordination groups.
  • Support strategic commercial activities and assist the General Manager with third-party client requirements.
  • Foster a high-performance team culture built on accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
  • Promote and lead the safety culture in line with Toll’s values and policies.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Bring

  • Proven experience in managing complex operations, ideally within aviation, Defence, or training sectors.
  • Experience with scheduling, resource planning, and operational systems.
  • High-level organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across all levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management capability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; aptitude for learning new systems such as LMS and Air Maestro.
  • Conflict resolution, coaching, and performance management experience. High-level organisational and time management skills.
