About the opportunity

An exciting opportunity for experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to join MHVL Learning Team at Werribee Mercy Hospital in a fixed term part time position - maternity leave cover. As the champion of education, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, facilitating and evaluating learning activities in the Emergency Department and Short Stay Unit for both staff and learners.

  • To provide educational leadership and guidance to enable the development of knowledge and skill.
  • The clinical educator works in partnership with Learning Team and the Emergency Department/ Short Stay Unit to ensure continuing professional development activities are in line with the delivery of clinical excellence.
  • Identifies and priorities the professional development needs of nursing staff and learners.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • APHRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Emergency Nursing
  • Current clinical experience in paediatric nursing
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Recent education experience
  • Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
  • A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
  • The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.



You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
