We’re looking for a high performing Associate - Senior Associate (5+ years PQE) to join our dynamic, collegiate Real Estate team.
You’ll be a valued member of the team and get to undertake complex and interesting property work, with plenty of support from a fantastic team and three award winning partners.
Working closely with all Real Estate / Property partners you will get the opportunity to service a strong portfolio of clients and their respective property portfolios.

The role
We are seeking an ambitious, high-performing Associate – Senior Associate to join our team in our Brisbane CBD office. This role affords the opportunity to grow and develop under the mentorship of an industry leader in Property, Peter Nugent. Peter leads by example with a strong commitment to client excellence and a broad range of clients in many sectors.
This role is diverse in nature, meaning your average day will provide you with the variety required to continue to grow as a specialist Property lawyer. You will see yourself taking responsibility for a range of tasks including managing property acquisitions and disposals, leasing (retail, industrial and commercial), drafting and negotiating contracts, overseeing property finance transactions and providing advice on property construction and development matters.

About You
- 5+ years legal experience with demonstrable experience in the commercial real estate area.
- Confidence and competence in taking carriage of matters autonomously with Partner oversight, working directly with clients, delegating, mentoring and supervising junior lawyers.
- Strong technical skills, including knowledge of property law (including the ability to manage transactions on PEXA), excellent drafting skills and strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- A well-developed commercial acumen.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a high performing team environment whilst also autonomously at times.
- A self-motivated and “can-do” attitude with an eagerness to grow your career with Piper Alderman.
