The Member and Advice team provide end to end customer services to all members helping them to understand, manage and tailor their retirement savings through the appropriate information at the right time. M&A includes our processing, payments, claims, complaints, contact centre and financial advice teams, as well as the key support teams needed to manage the flow of customers.

Opportunity
Help us achieve our result by being a part of a team that has a purpose of providing financial advice designed to improve retirement outcomes for our members. This 12 month maximum term contract role supports this purpose by putting our advice into written format for presentation to our members. The role can be based anywhere in Australia, with the requirement to be in the office 60% of time.
We'll count on you to produce highly quality, accurate, compliant Statements of Advice in a timely manner. You will need to use your professional judgement to critically evaluate the advice that is being proposed and suggest improvements to the advice where appropriate. You will also meet set standards for quality, quantity and turnaround times. The Statements of Advice that you write will distil complex ideas and strategies in a coherent and logical format to aid member understanding.
You'll work closely with UniSuper's Private Client Advisers and Review Advisers who you will work with to provide quality advice that will improve the financial wellbeing of our members. You will also work with other members of the Advice Operations team who support our advice offering.
What capabilities will set you up for success:
- A strong knowledge of superannuation, taxation, social security, insurance, retirement planning and investments
- Advanced written communication skills
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Advanced numerical, analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience working with X-plan preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Knowledge of ASIC, APRA and FPA compliance standards
- Well-developed organisational skills
What experience and qualifications are desirable:
- RG 146 required
- ADFS preferred
- A Finance related degree preferred
- Previous experience completing Statements of Advice
- Previous experience using Xplan preferred
- Ideally 3 years' experience within the superannuation or financial planning industry in a paraplanning role
