The Strategic Development team is a dynamic new division within Fujitsu, leveraging agile and SCRUM practices. As Principal Developer, you'll lead a high-performing team in enhancing and supporting key software products like Macrosine and Perimeta for 365. This hands-on technical leadership role involves driving the development of innovative solutions that elevate Fujitsu’s digital experience offerings for our customers.


As the team’s Technical Leader, you’ll drive the design and delivery of innovative, automated solutions to complex client challenges. You’ll lead software architecture and development, mentor the team, and act as the escalation point for technical issues. Your focus on continuous improvement will enhance development practices, streamline workflows, and uphold high standards of quality, security, and performance across all software and tools.


Responsibilities and Accountabilities


  • Lead Full-Stack Development Across Platforms:
  • Influence and drive the design, implementation, and enhancement of software products using a wide range of technologies. Ensure timely delivery within budget while meeting high standards for security, performance, and quality.
  • Technical Leadership and Mentoring:
  • Act as the go-to expert for development challenges, providing guidance on best practices. Mentor and support team members to uplift capability and foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
  • DevOps and Agile Delivery:
  • Contribute to and improve DevOps frameworks by actively participating in planning, design, and execution. Focus on complex features and priorities, while enhancing automation, testing, and delivery pipelines.
  • Quality, Security, and Code Standards:
  • Write clean, secure, and efficient code aligned with project specifications. Establish and maintain coding standards and support the team in producing robust and scalable solutions.
  • Product Improvement and Innovation:
  • Collaborate on product design, user experience, and feature planning. Evaluate and enhance existing applications, incorporating user feedback and the latest technology trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Technical Support and Documentation:
  • Provide expert-level support for escalated issues, ensuring quick resolution. Guide and review technical documentation to support knowledge sharing and maintain project transparency.


Requirements and Experience


  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role and hold a tertiary qualification in IT/Software Engineering and/or associated technologies.
  • Experience in working with large team sizes of 10-20 people. Ability to work across a broad spectrum of people, and IT systems in a corporate environment.
  • Strong technical expertise in .NET Core, C#, REST APIs, containers, PowerShell (as a programming language), and modern web frameworks (React/Vue, HTML/CSS, JavaScript).
  • Proficient in backend technologies including Entity Framework, MS SQL Server, and Microsoft 365 APIs.
  • Solid experience with Azure services such as Storage, Key Vault, Networking, Identity, Security, and VMs.
  • Well-versed in DevOps practices using Azure DevOps, pipelines, Git, Visual Studio 2022+, and VS Code.
  • Skilled in testing methodologies, both manual and automated, across frontend and backend.
  • Deep understanding of software development processes, including Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to critique and produce high-quality technical documentation.
  • Capable leader and collaborator, with problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
