The opportunity

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Paralegal to support our dynamic and high-performing Brisbane team.

You’ll bring at least 2 years of experience supporting a Real Estate team (whether in a law firm or in-house) and have a strong ability to work independently across a range of property transactions, including stream and off-the-plan conveyancing (which is a key focus of this role).

In this position, you’ll collaborate closely with our property partners and gain exposure to a variety of off-the-plan conveyancing, transactions, and general conveyancing work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and reviewing contracts for sale of land (residential and commercial), negotiating amendments and completing sale or purchase contracts, attend to settlements and registration of documents on the PEXA workspace and liaise with clients
  • Processing of trust statements to clients
  • Assisting with the preparation, review and execution of commercial lease documentation
  • Preparing property related correspondence and client updates
  • Coordinating with clients, external stakeholders and internal teams to progress transactions efficiently
  • Maintaining and updating matter documentation, data bases, precedents and workflows
  • Providing practical and timely support throughout the life cycle of property transactions
  • Attending to general file administration and post completion tasks, including execution of documents and registration of property dealings

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Paralegal in a Real Estate/Property team within a law firm
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial leasing processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Client focused approach with strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
  • A positive, proactive mindset and eagerness to continue learning
