The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Engineer to join our Building Division. This is an exciting opportunity to initially contribute to a significant $70 million education project located at the southern end of the beautiful Sunshine Coast. This project is well underway and is expected to reach completion by January 2026.

Following the successful completion of the Sunshine Coast project, you will transition to a new, equally engaging Brisbane-based project, offering a diverse range of experiences and continued professional development.

Key Responsibilities

As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our projects, working closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, and the wider project team. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of project activities.
  • Managing subcontractors and suppliers, including contract administration and performance monitoring.
  • Overseeing quality control and ensuring compliance with project specifications, Australian Standards, and relevant regulations.
  • Assisting with cost control and financial reporting.
  • Coordinating and reviewing project documentation, drawings, and specifications.
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues and site problems.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to WHS policies and procedures.
  • Preparing progress reports and project updates.
  • Fostering strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.

About You:

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Possess

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Project Engineer on building projects, ideally with exposure to large-scale or education sector projects.
  • Sound understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and WHS regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A proactive and problem-solving attitude with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safety and quality.
