The opportunity:
Fitness & Lifestyle Group (FLG) is on the hunt for a passionate Talent Acquisition Consultant to join our high-performing People & Culture team at our Brisbane Head Office.
In this hands-on, high-impact role, you'll facilitate a decentralised recruitment model, playing a pivotal part in attracting top talent to some of Australia's most iconic fitness brands - Goodlife Health Clubs, Fitness First, Zap Fitness 24/7, and Barry's. You'll lead with purpose, driving our employer brand and empowering leaders across our national club network to deliver exceptional, candidate-first recruitment experiences.
You'll also manage end-to-end recruitment for our support office teams, hiring across diverse functions like Marketing, IT, Finance, and Facilities. From strategic sourcing to offer management, you'll thrive in a fast-paced environment where your influence helps drive the performance and culture of the broader business.
Key duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Proactively arrange and coordinate recruitment, selection and engagement of team members to meet the organisational needs
- Place advertisements across a range of platforms for vacant positions
- Manage recruitment processes including job briefs, short-listing, screening, arranging interviews and managing candidate feedback and offers through our applicant tracking system
- Undertake initial interviews of applicants and provide information to potential candidates regarding the role, application process and the organisation
- Complete reference and background checks to determine the candidate's ability to perform the job and make recommendations to line management on the suitability of the candidates
- Undertake related administrative tasks including advising unsuccessful applicants, establishing and maintaining relevant recruitment records and statistics
- Coordinate job offers to successful applicants and request employment contracts
- Manage the delivery of constructive feedback to unsuccessful applicants
- Delivering a high standard of communication and customer service to internal stakeholders and colleagues
- Provide weekly updates to staff on internally advertised job opportunities
- General advice and recruitment support to leaders, including training on recruitment systems and process
What you'll bring:
- Prior experience in a talent acquisition, recruitment coordination or talent resourcer role (internal or agency)
- Experience with a range of job advertising and candidate sourcing platforms (such as Seek and LinkedIn)
- Experience with applicant tracking systems
- A champion of candidate experience and employer brand
- Exceptional stakeholder influencing skills
- Ability to build rapport with a wide range of people
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey recruitment strategies and training to stakeholders.
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
