We are seeking a Production Technician at nVent Sydney facility. The candidate will play a pivotal role in nVent manufacturing process in-house and field service and support duties as required, ensure smooth execution of production orders, meet business contractual commitments, satisfy stakeholders and drive continuous improvement while adhering to nVent health, safety and environmental standards.
Key role responsibilities
Assist with nVent Electrical & Fastening production work on site and in the field
Ensure the production workflow comply to nVent EH&S guidelines.
Oversee production assets to ensure equipment are serviced at recommended intervals
Responsible for the accuracy and timely completion of work orders with optimal use of resources
Responsible for coordinating production schedules on a daily and weekly basis to meet customer work order requirements.
To maintain a clean and safe work environment on site
Manage business in accordance with quality standards
Serve as a point of escalation for problems/issues to ensure a prompt resolution
Establish and maintain co-operative business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Manage and monitor expenses and assets to meet assigned goals
Maintain systematic audit trails to keep accurate inventory in the production cell
Generate manufacturing related metrics as requested by management
Strive to improve efficiency and quality of the operation through processes and procedures in order to meet ongoing and future demand
Maintain and implement any ISO related Quality requirements on site
qualifications and experience
Associate Diploma in Production / Engineering or relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
Understanding of production methodology and equipment maintenance
Restricted Electrical license preferred
Good Computer Literacy, ERP exposure a plus
Good communication skills
