The Opportunity
We are seeking an Associate to join the Future Fund's Infrastructure team, which invests in and manages a global portfolio of infrastructure and timberland assets. These include direct investments as well as investments in pooled funds and co-investments alongside our external investment managers. The Infrastructure team actively manages its portfolio companies ranging across sectors (including Transport, Energy and Digital Infrastructure) and geographies.
In this role, you will leverage your financial and commercial toolkit to meaningfully contribute to the development and management of the Infrastructure portfolio. You will deliver highly analytical outputs ensuring quality, accuracy and timeliness. You will also help develop research and data frameworks that inform investment decisions. Over time, you will play a key role in shaping the Agency's Infrastructure strategy. This is a unique opportunity to build expertise in Infrastructure investing within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
As an Associate, you will contribute to investment screening and evaluation through financial modelling, valuation analysis, and due diligence coordination. You will support asset management by tracking financial and operational performance, conducting financial modelling, and maintaining awareness of emerging risks. As part of this, you will maintain effective working relationships with various stakeholders including external investment managers. Your role will also involve portfolio analytics and performance reporting, liaising with internal and external sector teams. Additionally, you will develop frameworks and templates to monitor the global infrastructure landscape and conduct market research to support strategic decision-making. Collaboration with other investment teams will be essential to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing across the Agency.
About You
You hold a tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, Engineering, or a related numerate discipline, with postgraduate studies in finance viewed favourably. You bring 2-4 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, investment management, or a similar field. Your will be able to demonstrate investment numeracy and literacy, including experience building and analysing financial models. You are proficient in Microsoft Office, with a working knowledge of VBA and financial databases extraction considered a plus.
You are a confident communicator, a collaborative team member, and a curious learner who thrives in a collegiate, high calibre team environment. Your ability to synthesise insights, present structured views, and engage across teams will be key to your success in this role.
