We are looking for a Strategic Projects Lead, who will spearhead critical cross-functional projects designed to enhance the company's strategic positioning, operational effectiveness, and long-term growth. This role involves coordinating efforts across multiple departments to execute key strategic initiatives that align with SafetyCulture’s ambitious goals.
You will require a strong track record in leading strategic projects and the ability to spearhead critical cross-functional initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness. You will demonstrate exceptional strategic thinking, analytical skills, and stakeholder management abilities to navigate ambiguity and drive alignment across diverse teams for long-term growth.

How You Will Spend Your Time
- Lead and manage key strategic projects from inception to successful implementation, ensuring alignment with SafetyCulture’s strategy and objectives. (For example, driving the acceleration and adoption of AI internally within SafetyCulture).
- Coordinate cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and clear communication across departments such as Revenue Operations, Sales, Success, Support, Product and Marketing.
- Identify, research, analyse, and address strategic business opportunities and challenges through structured, data-driven approaches.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and milestones, maintaining accountability across all stakeholders.
- Regularly communicate progress, risks, and key decisions to executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Act as a strategic thinker and advisor, providing insights and recommendations to enhance decision-making and execution effectiveness.
- Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and implementing best practices across strategic initiatives.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in strategic project management, management consulting, or corporate strategy roles, ideally within a software or SaaS context.
- Demonstrable ability to manage complex, strategic initiatives with cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills, coupled with the ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with a proven track record of achieving consensus and alignment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill complex ideas into clear, actionable insights.
- Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to assess market trends, competitive landscape, and strategic opportunities effectively.
- Preferred Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Economics, Chartered Accountant, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience in a high-growth software or SaaS company is preferred.
- Have owned and delivered strategic projects within a business of 500+ people.
- Successful on-time execution and delivery of strategic projects aligned with commercial growth objectives.
- Effective cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Tangible improvements in the company's top 5 key metrics and operational capabilities.
- High satisfaction ratings from project stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Orchestrating multiple, high-stakes strategic initiatives simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
