Description
At Amazon, we’re building a world class last mile operation, significantly complimented by Amazon Flex. Amazon Flex crowd sources independent contractors – called Delivery Partners (DPs) – to coordinate deliveries to our customers. With Amazon Flex, individuals can now be their own boss delivering Amazon packages. Amazon Flex is powered by a mobile app that works in concert with our advanced delivery systems, allowing delivery partners to sign in, grab an offer for a time, check out a map of the location, and more.
The Flex Australia team is looking for a dynamic and experienced Program Manager to join us and help improve DP onboarding experience and optimize operational scheduling. A successful Program Manager must be able to work independently, be comfortable with ambiguity, and be able to influence internal/external partners at all levels of the organization. This role will particularly suit someone with strong analytical abilities, relationship building skills, and stellar project management capabilities. To be successful, you must also have very strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as you will own communicating program progress very crisply in various business reviews.
Key job responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution
Drive comprehensive program planning across multiple workstreams, including operational improvements, and strategic initiative
Lead end-to-end delivery of critical business programs, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
Develop and maintain program roadmaps, KPIs, and success metrics
Operational Excellence
Own DP scheduling and initiatives, coordinating with Finance and operations teams
Monitor and optimize key performance metrics, including fill rates and delivery performance
Oversee model updates and block mix opportunities to enhance operational efficiency
Stakeholder Management & Leadership
Partner with cross-functional teams including Finance, Operations, and Central Ops
Lead weekly syncs and planning sessions with multiple stakeholders
Provide clear communication and strategic updates to senior leadership
Build and maintain strong relationships across all organizational levels
Process Improvement & Innovation
Identify and implement optimization opportunities across the delivery network
Develop and execute strategic initiatives to improve operational performance
Create and maintain scalable processes for program management and reporting

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of program management experience, with at least 3 years leading complex, cross-functional initiatives
- Proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making
- Excellence in stakeholder management and executive communication
- Experience with operational planning
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, or e-commerce operations
- Knowledge of lean six sigma or other process improvement methodologies
- Track record of implementing successful change management initiatives
- Experience with workforce management and scheduling systems
