In the role of Associate Director, Communications, you will join the Corporate Affairs Team who are doubling down making a tangible difference to customers while keeping it simple.
Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:
- Provide strategic communications advice to Executives and their leadership teams.
- Using insights and research to best position C&IB with customers through external narratives, speeches and social media.
- Collaborate with colleagues across C&IB, as well as within Corporate Affairs and NAB, to ensure alignment of effort.
- Partner with Marketing on key events, customer engagements and thought leadership campaigns.
- Take initiative with delivery and ownership of key business portfolios and executive briefings relating to each segment and leader.
- Identify opportunities for colleague communications and work with peers to execute to build engagement.
- Issue management, including proactive identification of issues impacting NAB’s trust and reputation.
- More than 10 years’ experience in Communications/Public Relations/Employee Engagement roles.
- Must have previous media relations experience.
- Demonstrated experience as a trusted advisor who influences outcomes with senior c-suite and mid-tier executives to achieve communications objectives.
- Ability to think across all facets of communications and for a range of internal and external audiences (customers, colleagues, executives, media, frontline bankers), as well as across the enterprise.
- Sound understanding of the external environment, and how that impacts NAB and its communications strategy.
- Familiarity with digital communications tools, including MS Office Suite, SharePoint, Content Management Systems, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, video conferencing (Zoom webinar), Viva Engage and LinkedIn.
- Digital and social media content, including writing and simple visual communications editing.
