Your New Role
We have a 12-month max-term contract opportunity for a PMO Lead to join our Transformation Program for a Member Service Model uplift. The Service Model uplift involves establishing central internal capability to support newly insourced internal member service functions, spanning business and technology functions.
The successful candidate will have proven expertise in leading Program offices though business change and transitions using project management delivery practices. They will be responsible for the reporting and support to project managers for end-to-end delivery of projects with a focus on time, cost, quality, and benefits.
Key responsibilities will include
- Support project leads and sponsors in the development of a program business case, charters, resource, risk, schedule and dependency management
- Support the definition of scope of the program in collaboration with senior management
- Determine the objectives and measures upon which the program will be evaluated at its completion, with a particular focus on value levers and benefits
- Create a detailed program plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project and reports against these for board, steerco and other relevant forums
- Determine the resources required to complete the program
- Work with the business and risk to identify and mitigate project delivery and operational risks
- Ensure program meets sponsor expectations with respect to quality, budget, delivery timelines, and strategy
- Manage the project budget and inputs to the overall program costs tracking
- Establish communication schedule to update stakeholders on the progress of the project
- Manage day-to-day project sponsor and stakeholder interactions
- Communicate progress, risks, expectations, timelines, milestones and other key project metrics to sponsors and team members
- People management and leadership of the PMO team
What You'll Need
- Deep PMO manager experience within a complex, IT enabled, business services organisation
- Superannuation industry experience
- Proven ability to work to a structured delivery framework
- Competent in a variety of delivery methodologies such as waterfall and agile
- Skilful application of well-designed change management and communication processes as they relate to instigating and delivering on programs of change
- Developed stakeholder relationship skills, including ability to initiate, maintain and develop relationships with staff from all levels of the Fund
- Experience leading a multi-disciplinary team to successfully deliver outcomes
- High level facilitation skills and capable management of group dynamics that lead to the effective facilitation, guidance and negotiation of successful outcomes
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications
- Professional project management certification such as PMI or PRINCE2
- Experience in the use of Project Program Management Toolsets
