Nestled in the vibrant heart of Randwick, KU Randwick Coogee Preschool was born from the vision of a dedicated group of local mothers who wanted to create a nurturing early learning space for their community. Today, we proudly carry forward that legacy offering a warm, welcoming environment full of heart, creativity, and connection.

More than just a preschool, KU Randwick Coogee is a buzzing community hub where children aged 3 to 5 years come to explore, discover, and thrive. Recognised with an “Exceeding” rating under the National Quality Standard, our service is known for its strong sense of belonging, passionate educators, and an inspiring outdoor learning space that invites curiosity and independence.

We operate Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm during NSW school terms, delivering a nature-rich, sustainability-focused curriculum designed to empower every child to be curious, confident, and capable. Our expansive outdoor environment isn’t just a playground—it’s a dynamic classroom where children engage deeply with the natural world and develop a lifelong love of learning.

We’re looking for an early childhood educator who:

  • Is passionate about preparing children for school through a play-based curriculum that is responsive to their interests
  • Has hands-on experience with sustainable practices and fostering environmental awareness in early childhood settings
  • Understands the vital role of family engagement and community involvement in enriching the learning experience
  • Values and implements inclusive practices to support all children’s unique needs and strengths

The Role

We are looking for a Certificate III qualified educator to join the service on a permanent part-time basis 7.6 hours per day Monday to Wednesday.

Applicants should have:

  • Australian working rights
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check
  • An ACECQA recognised Certificate III qualification
  • Completed Child Protection Training as well as demonstrated understanding of current child safe practices
  • Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
  • Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
