Purpose of the role

  • This role is crucial for BSI Australia’s ambition to expand its market share and enhance its service delivery in the ANZ region. It requires a blend of strategic vision, leadership excellence, operational management, and a deep understanding of the sales and marketing dynamics within the Assurance industry.


Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Growth Driving: Responsible for new business sales and increasing business with existing customers through upsell/cross-sell strategies.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, develop, and motivate the marketing and sales team to work effectively across departments, contributing to BSI’s commercial success.
  • Financial Planning: Collaborate with financial director and managers to develop financial plans and forecasts and ensure their accuracy and realization
  • Strategic Planning: Formulate short and long-term strategies to drive sales and revenue growth, market share, and brand recognition
  • Market Engagement and Development: Use market analysis to drive focus on sectors and streams, leveraging expertise to foster growth and technical competence.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Identify and develop strategic partnerships and business opportunities that significantly add value to BSI.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other divisions and regional stakeholders to ensure alignment of efforts and goals including the development of products and services
  • Compliance and Ethical Standards: Ensure that all sales and marketing activities comply with relevant legal, regulatory, and ethical standards and BSI policies.
  • Sales and Marketing Management: Oversee the creation and implementation of sales solutions, manage major client relationships, and drive new business opportunities.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure alignment with BSI’s global strategies, manage internal and external sales and marketing tools effectively, and oversee the quality and quantity of leads and sales.
