We are currently seeking a Marketing Finance Lead to join our dynamic Sales & Marketing team, based in our Brisbane CBD office.
About The Role
Reporting to the Vice President Sales and Marketing , this is a unique opportunity to take the lead on the financial and commercial operations behind our global coal sales. In this role, you’ll be hands-on with everything from revenue recognition and contract performance, Trade Finance, to credit management and commercial reporting. You’ll also contribute to risk management and help drive smarter, more strategic sales outcomes. This 15-month fixed-term contract offers the chance to work closely with teams across Australia and the US, making a real impact in a global business.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure customer revenue is collected accurately and on time, supporting the financial integrity of our global coal sales.
- Oversee the financial aspects of sales contracts, including compliance, credit management, Trade Finance (Letters of Credit), and validating invoices.
- Deliver accurate and timely commercial reporting, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic decision-making.
- Provide clear, insightful analysis to support decision-making across the Sales & Marketing team, working closely with our US finance colleagues.
- Contribute to risk management and commercial optimisation strategies, including the identification of margin enhancement opportunities.
- Take ownership of month-end processes, including reconciliations and audits, with a focus on accurate reporting and compliance.
- Work cross-functionally with teams in Finance, Legal, Treasury, and Operations to ensure our commercial outcomes align with business priorities.
- Lead and support a direct report by setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, and encouraging professional development within a collaborative environment.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in financial operations, ideally within commodities, mining, or export markets.
- Understanding of Trade Finance (mainly Letters of Credit)
- Knowledge of SAP and the Microsoft Office Suite. (SAC knowledge is also advantageous)
- Experience preparing financial reports, managing audits, and supporting strategic business decisions.
