What’s the role?
This is a full-time, permanent role based in Canberra, with a hybrid working model—three or more days in the office and the rest from home. You’ll be part of Westpac’s Global Transaction Services (GTS) team, managing a senior portfolio of Public Sector clients.
Your focus will be on maintaining strong relationships, identifying opportunities for growth, and delivering tailored solutions that support your clients’ operational and financial goals. It’s a role that combines strategic thinking, client engagement, and a deep understanding of transactional banking.

What do I need?
- You’ve built and nurtured senior client relationships before, and you know how to earn trust, influence decisions, and keep partnerships thriving.
- You can read between the lines of a client’s strategy, spot opportunities others miss, and craft long-term plans that align with their goals and ours.
- You’re skilled at creating compelling pitches, mapping out solutions, and delivering presentations that resonate with senior stakeholders.
- You stay sharp on economic trends, government priorities, and the evolving transactional banking landscape—and you use that knowledge to drive smarter conversations.
- Transactional banking experience, ideally in sales is highly advantageous.
