GPEx is a South Australian not-for-profit organisation that delivers education, engagement, and evaluation solutions to strengthen the primary health care sector Australia wide. With over two decades of experience, GPEx works closely with general practitioners, practice managers, allied health professionals, and other stakeholders to design and deliver evidence-informed programs that support clinical practice, workforce development, and system improvements.

Governed by a highly accomplished, remunerated, skills-based Board, the organisation works to shape the future of primary health in Australia, by delivering programs and services that build knowledge and promote capability. The Board has identified the key skills criteria for a new Board member ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and the Board skills matrix.

The appointee will be a current practicing General Practitioner delivering patient care or other experienced health professional active in the Australian primary health care system. Experience in Digital Health including a working knowledge of digital systems, privacy and/or cyber security will be sought. Familiarity with AI applications in Primary Care and the associated governance implications will be a key focus area.

The organisation is Adelaide based, however applications from candidates residing in other states are welcome. Board experience and AICD qualifications would be advantageous but are not considered essential.
