This role is critical in shaping the future of programmatic revenue growth and yield protection through strategic SSP optimisation, advanced supply curation management, and leveraging data-driven insights to influence organisational strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, deep knowledge of programmatic ecosystems, and a passion for maximizing revenue opportunities through technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop strategic partnerships with SSPs to optimise fill rates, CPMs, and maximise indirect revenue streams.
- Conduct comprehensive performance audits to identify systemic inefficiencies and implement strategic solutions.
- Collaborate with SSP partners to pioneer and integrate innovative features, formats, and technologies.
- Forge strategic alliances with DSP partners to develop and execute demand path optimisation strategies.
- Oversee and refine supply curation across the ecosystem to ensure optimal pricing and yield, aligning with broader business objectives.
- Enhance and innovate programmatic reporting systems to provide strategic insights and drive revenue metrics.
- Analyse complex data sets to deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Develop and present detailed supply performance reports for stakeholders and key external partners.
- Collaborate with AdTech, Ad Operations, and Product teams to ensure alignment of programmatic initiatives with corporate goals.
- Strategise and influence AI-driven ad buying platforms to enhance programmatic efficiency.
- Review SSP contracts and agreements to ensure alignment with commercial objectives, privacy standards, and liability considerations.
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends, ensuring News Corp Australia maintains its competitive edge in the programmatic advertising landscape.
- 7-10 years of experience in programmatic advertising with a focus on supply management, preferably within a leading publisher or ad tech environment.
- Extensive knowledge of SSPs, DSPs, and the programmatic ecosystem.
- Strategic and technical mindset with a proven track record of adapting to emerging concepts
- Exceptional analytical skills with expertise in reporting tools like Excel, Looker, or Tableau.
- Superior communication and negotiation skills for managing high-level partnerships and internal teams.
- A strategic leader ready to drive innovation and lead transformative change.
- Proficiency in advanced programmatic tools and platforms (e.g., Google Ad Manager, Xandr, Magnite, PubMatic and Index Exchange).
