Head of Platform Content Strategy
News Corp Australia
Date: 10 hours ago
City: Surry Hills, New South Wales
Contract type: Full time

What's the role?
As Australians increasingly consume news on social platforms, publishers face a critical challenge: engaging audiences off-platform while sustaining value for journalism. With off-platform traffic growing but monetising poorly, this tension is now existential.
Reporting to the GM of Tech Platform Partnerships, the Head of Platform Content Strategy will lead NCA’s content approach across social media and third-party platforms, including Apple News. The role is responsible for developing and executing strategic, audience-first distribution plans that align with NCA’s business goals.
The Head will work closely with editors, newsrooms, brand teams, and stakeholders across audience, marketing, and subscriptions to guide platform strategy and execution. They will provide insights on trends, develop playbooks, and contribute to strategic decision-making through recommendations to the GM.
This is a leadership role with three direct reports.
